Sustainability - Our Natural Promise

We invite everyone to take a look at Sustainability Report 2023 of Latvijas Finieris Group.

The purpose of this report is to describe the material aspects of the sustainability of Latvijas Finieris, their impact and the measures the company is taking to balance the impact of its activities on people, nature and society as a whole. The Sustainability Report covers information on the Group’s activities for the period from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023, including information on both the parent company – joint-stock company Latvijas Finieris – and its subsidiaries.

The Sustainability Report 2023 follows the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) standard guidelines. Starting from 2024 we plan to apply the requirements of the European Union Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) to our sustainability reporting, in line with European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and the Group’s material sustainability topics.

For Youth

Green Class

In close cooperation with JSC “Latvia’s State Forests” every autumn Latvijas Finieris organises a one-day educational event for school children. It takes place at the educational and active recreation center "Sarkaņkalns" owned by Latvijas Finieris. Pupils are welcomed and involved in educational activities by forest professionals from a variety of companies and organizations from Latvian forest industry, providing interesting information about the forest, trees and wildlife, and the sustainable management of these natural assets.  

Excursions in the Company

For School Pupils

To introduce young people to the forest sector and wood industry, we also offer pupils excursions in our company free of charge. The excursions are presented in Latvian.
